Bill Ruck

Bill moved to RAF Kinloss in 1988 as an Air Electronics Operator, involved with acoustic operations, tracking submarines etc. as well as Search and Rescue operations.  He then worked in the oil industry operating Remote Operated Vehicles.  Bill’s current business, Moray First Marine based in Moray, focuses mainly on commercial boat charters and marine survey work. Bill has great local knowledge of the firth having carried out seabed survey for the 2 demonstrator wind turbines at Beatrice, bird surveys and dolphin and porpoise monitoring for the Lighthouse Field Station of the University of Aberdeen based in Cromarty, including sound recording work, to assist with the largest scale project in the world of the impact of Seismic work on cetaceans.
