Communications and Management for Sustainability
Communications and Management for Sustainability (CMS) is an organisation that promotes the delivery of sustainability and environment management in the marine, coastal and water sectors using a number of communication media. 

KIMO (Local Authorities International Environmental Organisation)
KIMO is an independent environmental group, made up of local authorities with a shared concern for the state of the marine environment, particularly marine pollution issues.  KIMO co-ordinated the very successful Fishing for Litter project in Scotland.  Read more...

Seaside Awards and Blue Flag Beaches
The winners of the 2013 Scottish Seaside Awards and Blue Flags were announced on 10 June 2013, by the independent environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful. To help everyone find out where they are and detail their facilities, a new look website and online map has also been launched pinpointing all the award winning beaches.  Information for all the Moray Firth award beaches can also be found on this downloadable PDF (4.5MB pdf)

Invasive Non Native Species awareness raising materials
The GB Non Native Species Group have re-printed a number of materials which may be of use to Local Action Groups for raising awareness of the Check Clean Dry and Be Plant Wise campaigns.

Better to know a knot and not need it, than need a knot and not know it!  A useful well illustrated site that demonstrates knots for fishing, boating, climbing and search and rescue.

Flood Risk Management
Flood defences, surface water management, flood warnings and other policies can reduce the risk from flooding, but these risks can never be completely eliminated. The Scottish Government has introduced a more sustainable and modern approach to flood risk management through the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009. Follow the link for more information.
