Gansey Exhibition Showcase at Fraserburgh
The Gansey Project Travelling Exhibition will be showcased at Fraserburgh Heritage Centre throughout July and August.
Local residents are being encouraged to visit the tourist attraction to catch a glimpse of the Moray Firth Gansey Project which will be on display throughout the summer.
A gansey, or guernsey, or is a seaman's knitted woollen sweater, similar to a jersey, and in the past communities developed their own unique 'ganseys' based on the original pattern.
The project aims to find, record and conserve ancient gansey patterns from around the Moray Firth coast.
The centre is open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 4pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm with the last entry at 3.15pm.
