National Whale and Dolphin Watch
The Sea Watch Foundation is holding the National Whale and Dolphin Watch event during 27-29 July and would like your participation! Help us gain valuable data on marine mammals found in UK and Irish waters.
Manned watches will be taking place around the UK coastline, as well as onboard the vessels of participating boat operators. If you would like to take part in an organised watch please visit the SeaWatch Foundation events page or you can set up your own watch with our help - simply decide the time and location and we will post you a watch pack; no previous experience is necessary. Just email your address to: or give us a ring on 01545 56 1227 and we will talk you through your watch pack. Every watch taking place will be advertised on our website and on our Facebook page. All effort and sightings recorded over the 3 day event are important to our research in marine mammals and are greatly appreciated.
We are also kindly asking if you would be able to advertise our event in your local area, using posters which will be provided. If you are able to display our event posters please contact us with an address and we will send these to you as soon as possible.
In the Moray Firth there are two manned watches: 28th and 29th July, 9.30-12.00, South Sutor Car Park, Cromarty. 29th July, 4.00pm-6.00pm, Burghead.
Many thanks,
Danielle Gibas
