Biodiversity

Biodiversity is life Biodiversity is our life

The Moray Firth Partnership has joined over 200 partners to help celebrate the International Year of Biodiversity 2010. Fellow partners include universities, media organisations, museums, theatre companies and artists, who have all come together to promote the understanding of biodiversity in 2010.

Biodiversity is a priority theme in our 2010 Community Grants Scheme, so if your group or organisation has a biodiversity project in mind, be sure to get your application submitted before the 18th January deadline (click here for more details on our grants scheme).

Biodiversity affects everyone and anyone can get involved. Throughout the year we will feature in our Members’ Newsletters examples of biodiversity projects around the Moray Firth , by both individuals and groups. We will also highlight ways that you too can get involved. So, if you are involved in a biodiversity project on the Moray Firth coast we would love to hear from you.

We are also currently developing a new project for 2010 which will help young people, communities and businesses to come together to engage in biodiversity projects. We will let you know more details on this in 2010.
